Coveralls & Lipstick

I know, I know and I'm so sorry. Where do I start? I moved countries, the coveralls part of my name kinda took over, life just got really busy. I'm back now, I can't promise a post every week, but I do promise to be more regular this time.

So,  this will be the first in my favourites series. I will have several, Favourite Reds, Favourite Pinks, Favourite Nudes, etc. Since I love wearing nude lipsticks and glosses, I decided to kick off this series with one of my favourite nude lip glosses, Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Troublant. It came out in the Les Essential Des Chanel Collection, Fall 2012 along with a few other colours, but I only picked this one up.






I have pigmented lips so finding a nude that will actually show up on me without making me look "dead" or like Tyrone Biggums is quite a feat. I saw this gloss on the lovely Crystal of crystalis007.com and decided to give it a try and boy, I'm so glad I did. I don't buy luxury make-up all the time, but when I do, I make sure I choose colours that I will wear often to justify spending so much on a lipstick or gloss and enusure I use every last drop of it.



This gloss is perfection!!!! It's such a beautiful, subtle yet complex colour. On me, it comes off as a mauvy pink with tiny tiny flecks of gold. The pigmentation makes it look almost like a liquid lipstick. It's also extremely comfortable to wear. Most of the time I wear it alone, with no liner. When I do wear it with a liner, I use MAC's Burgundy, Currant , NYX's  Espresso or Sleek's Rich Brown

 I can't remember if I got mine from Nordstrom or Saks but unfortunately, it's not available anymore, as it was limited edition.
